• Question: Can animals laugh?

      I’m sure they can. I bet animals do things all the time which makes their friends laugh. They may just have different laughs to us

      Probably..thay can do things like sneeze and cry so I don’t see why they woulsn’t be able to laugh…we just probably don’t recognise it!

      Some scientists have conducted animal studies on rats, monkeys and dogs and have actuallt shown that certain sounds they make are like laughter. They found out that rate make highly pitched squeaks when playing with each other, and monkeys make laughing noises during play and interaction.

      Monkeys seem to have a sense of humour and seem to laugh. Animals can’t smile because of the structure of their facial muscles. Do hyena’s laugh?
