• Question: Can the type of footwear (types of trainers, types of boots) you were now, damage your feet later in life?!

      Yes. The foot is a very delicate collection of fragile bones and tendons/ligaments/muscles. The bare foot is the best but choosing the right footwear for the right situation is important. Manufacturers spend millions of pounds developing the correct running shoes for example.

      It is important to try and wear shoes that support your feet as much as you can…especially if you are wearing those shoes for a long period of time (like to school or work..or to play sport in). This is so you don’t do any damage to your joints and your bones. However..if you are wearing shoes for short periods of time (like high shoes for special occasions!)..then this won’t damage your feet. It is also more likley it will damge your joints and your body alignment than your actual foot. But to do this you would need to wear shoes which were really bad and had no support every day for a long period of time.
