The 5 a day guidellines are set out by the government. In the USA i think their guidence says that they should eat 8 a day! In the UK the health experts in the government thought that this target was not achievable. If shops were trying to trick us i think they would say to eat more really expensive things like meat… have you seen the price of a free range chicken?!

It does help to keep you healthy yes! fruit and veg contains all the natural nutrients your body needs to function properly. It is not just to trick you into buying more fruit :).

Eating 5 a day definitely does help. Fruit and vegetable contain a lot of essential vitamins and minerals that we need. Also if people snack on fruit and veg they will eat it instead of eating junk food

Five a day do help as they have been shown to provide the right amount of minerals and vitamins your body needs. It’s definitely not a trick, any more that shops trying to get you to eat more junk food is!
