• Question: How do doctors manage to work with ill people every day and not end up diseased????????????

      They use very effective barrier methods. They scrub up to make sure they are not carrying germs or diseases and all ops are carried out in a sterile environment with the docs wearing gowns, bgloves and masks. They then wash after the op and all the clothes are either steralised or disposable items burnt.

      Good question! I don’t know the answer to this. Maybe it is because they don’t get close enought to catch whatever the person has got! In hospitals people normally go in with diseases which can not be caught just by breathing in the same air..they are not contagious in that way…and maybe not at all. Also they make sure they minimise the risk of them catching anything by wearing gloves and things to cover their mouths etc. So thats probably why in a hospital doctors don’t get diseases and illnesses.

      I’m not sure what the answer is to this question. Some illnesses are not contagious (i.e can not be passed from person to person) so doctors would not get ill from working with ill people. Doctors also have lots of vaccinations against diseases.,
