• Question: how has being a sports scientist encouradged you to be healthy and keep fit?

      It has encouraged me a lot. People have found in my department lots and lots of health benefits with keeping fit and healthy. Also, lots of people here exercise so we all sometimes exercise together. I am apart of our department netball team we play once a week all together.

      Yes definitely…I have always enjoyed playing sport and doing exercise since I was little..I play hockey a lot and also netball and I used to dance! But since I have started learning more about the benefits of playing sport and exercise in terms of keeping your mind and body healthy I definitely make a point of trying to go to the gym more when I am not playing sports! in terms of the food I eat…I am not so good :s..I’m a bit of a crisp and dip addict! especially doritos and salsa!

      It does, but other things conspire against me. I’ve torn the meniscus in my right knee so exercise is limited. Also I spend a lot of time behind my desk. I’ve started light exercise again down at the indoor track and aim to get much fitter over the summer!
