0 Question: How is it that certain animals know when it is going to rain Asked by lozzer to Pete, Rebecca, SallyB, Sally, Sian on 23 Jun 2010 in Categories: General.
Sally Fenton answered on 21 Jun 2010:
I am not sure that this is certain and I have only heard this for cows!
Sian Lawson answered on 22 Jun 2010:
Animals can detect changes in air pressure and temperature that come before the rain.
Rebecca Randell answered on 22 Jun 2010:
I’m not sure about the answer to this, its pretty clever though
Peter Styring answered on 23 Jun 2010:
I believe they can sense small changes in air pressure well in advance. Our cat can tell when there is a thunderstorm coming as she gets hyper!
