      Lots. I’m effectively a mathematical modeller. Maths is my main tool, and I love it.

      There isn’t too much maths in the work i do but there is a little bit. I think maths crops up in everything you do and sometimes you don’t even notice that you are going maths

      Quite a lot of maths is involved. I found maths hard at school, it’s still hard but I’m getting better at it! I have to do calculations to see how many people i will need to have in my study. I use maths in the form of statistics to interpret the results of my study. Sometimes I need to understand maths and physics to understand how to use equipment and how the equipment works.

      There is quite a bit actually…but I would prefer there not to be! Maths is not my strong point. There is not alot of maths in the actual experiments I carry out…but when I have to analyse my data and write up my results afterwards it is all maths! particularly statistics and equations!
