After some people have fought in a war they can develop something called post traumatic stress syndrome because of some of the bad experiences they may have encountered when they are there. This can sometimes make them feel like they are back in the war when they are not and can be very scary. They have to see people to help them deal with this. I met someone once who has this and they were not mad!

Some people who fight in wars suffer from something called post-traumatic stress disorder, this is a sever anxiety response. You don’t just get this from being in a war, it can happen if a person if they or someone close to them has been in a life treatening situation.

I’m not sure this is true! Some people get affected emotionally by things they see at war but it doesn’t mean that they will go mad

There is evidence of traumatic stress disorder. I’m not sure mad is the right word. The trauma and stress of war cause people to suffer breakdowns and anxiety.
