• Question: What causes Asdma ?

      The cause of asthma is unknown. At the moment scientists think it is a combination of factors which interact in early life which cause asthma to develop! (like having parents who have asthma or having a respiratory infection when you are young).

      Asthma is an immune system disorder. The immune system reacts to a trigger that causes the bronchi in the lungs to contract so not enough oxygen can get into the blood stream and the brain struggles to cope with the oxygen deficiency causing panic which makes things worse.
