      Top three:
Oxford: I discovered that when children have cerebral palsy there muscle positions can be predicted by measuring the way their legs bend, which means that we can understand the way that they walk and plan corrective surgery.

Paris: I developed a method to calculate internal tendon strains and joint contact forces for horses and other animals without having to take invasive measurements, important for vets and researchers.

Newcastle: I’ve developed new ways to track motion, and discovered how good people are at visually spotting differences in the way that humans and animals move.

The most important is yet to come.

I have not made any breakthroughs as of yet…but I have only been a scientist for 10 months. Hopefully I will find one whilst I am working on my project though!

Making chemical catalysts that can be supported on a solid and re-used without a messy process. Much more environmentally friendly.
