Ooooh thats a good question! I don’t really know…I would like to say Albert Einstein (although I am not as clever as him). A few months ago there was a mini series on channel 4 about children who were overweight/obese and there was a Professor from Leeds University that was on it trying to help them become more active and healthy…I can’t remember his name now (oops!) but probably him.
There is a scientist in the USA called Steven Blair who does a lot of work investigating ways of improving health via increasing physical activity in different groups of people which is the type of work that I also do.
Steven Blair has done so much work over the last 25 years and is internationally recognized authority on exercise and its health benefits. I don’t think I can compare myself to him, he has achieved so much, I am always reading about the great work that he has done and is doing at the moment. Since I am really just at the begining of my carer he is a great person for me to look up to and use as a role model.
I actually spoke at a conference a couple of years ago and he was in the audience. I was really nervous to know that he was there listening to me talking about my work. Afterwards he congratuated me on my presentation which was a great feeling!
