To help develop new medicines that keep us alive. There is currently no alternative.

Animals are normally tested on to make sure things are safe for humans to use. Whilst I think this is needed when we are trialing new medical drugs which can save lives…I don’t think it is right to test things like cosmetics on animals.

In some cases animals are tested on before the research is conducted on humans to make sure it is safe. Some people are for animal research and some people are against it. I think animal research is fine as long as the animal is not in danger or being hurt.
