• Question: Why did you choose to research athletes

      At the moment I am testing young healthy males so not so much athletes (although they think they are!!!). With my type of research you normally start testing in young males as they are seen as the “normal” population to see if you find anything. Once you have found something you can then test different groups of people should as children, women and the elderly. In my department there isn’t much research done on women because people think that a womens menstrual cycle can have an effect on the results. I think we (women) should be able to take part in more research!!
