• Question: why do some people get hyper from things like sweets or fizzy drinks?

      Because there are things in sweets and fizzy drinks called additives (they help to flavour them) which increase your sugar levels so much you have lots of energy all at once and it makes people hyper!

      I think its something to do with amount of sugar in both sweets and fizzy drinks i think its because the sugar in sweets doesn’t need to be broken down in the body so it gives you instant energy.

      Sweets and drinks are a high concentration of sugar. Sugars provide energy. Too much energy = hyper!!!! Many also have additives (E numbers) that affect children.
